In January, four men from Pender Church (Fairfax, Va.) and I trained a group of men in Chimbote, Peru, located seven hours by car north of Lima on the Pacific Coast.

Pastor Juan Taupia and the Peruvian National Director for Ambassadors for Christ International, Ricardo Visaraga Munoz, organized this conference for pastors, church leaders, and laymen. Men from ten churches met at the Tabernacle de la Fe de Chimbote.

It was an outstanding time. We taught the men about who they are in Christ, their role in His Kingdom, and their responsibility as husbands and fathers of valor. We coached them that all they are and do needs to be based on knowing the Word of God and lived out through a deep, direct, and dedicated friendship with at least one brother. Though one man may struggle to stand against Satan, two can stand against him, since “a three-fold chord is not quickly broken.”
