Malawi

Our first MOV conference in Malawi was in Lilongwe in 2016. Men from nearly 100 churches from across the country were represented, and over the course of three days, more and more pastors, church leaders, and men came until we had around 280!

After that first conference, host pastor Charles Mwase of Christian Ministries International and his team partnered with MOV to put on eight more conferences in various regions of his country. They have reached and impacted hundreds of men who now understand both the Gospel and their position, practices, and priorities as God’s men of valor. Men have also come to Christ through these conferences.

In 2019, Brad joined Charles to co-conduct a conference in the city of Blantyre. Around 150 pastors, church leaders, and businessmen attended. Many commented on the depth of the teaching. One man said, “God wants me to engage men for his kingdom purposes. God wants me to encourage men to stand out for his kingdom expansion.” Twenty men’s discipleship groups were launched.

Charles and his team have continued to hold conferences in strategic locations around Malawi and neighboring countries, and to conduct thorough follow-up interviews. He has obtained amazing testimonies of how the men are continuing to grow spiritually. The discipleship groups have expanded and churches have reporting reductions in family and marriage counseling. Pastors are reporting church growth, building repairs, and even nee church plants as men have matured in their faith.

Well over 1,000 men have come to Christ in Malawi since we first went there!

In 2021, Charles was appointed Africa Operations Director for MOV.
