Successes of the Relay

It is amazing to see your efforts reproduced.

U.S.-based teams from Men of Valor have traveled to over 20 countries, conducting men’s conferences, encouraging local pastors to get men involved, and teaching pastors and laymen what it means to be men of valor who can influence their marriages, homes, churches, and communities for God.

The exciting thing is that even when we’re not traveling, MOV conferences, messages, the setting up of men’s ministries and discipleship groups, etc., goes on. We’ve handed off the baton formally in some places, but also informally in others. The “finish line” from our relay isn’t another loop around the track. It spreads farther and farther away from the starting block—as we hoped and prayed!

MDV-Malawi lead, Charles Mwase, sends in reports on his Men of Valor conferences—seven so far! This is one from Mchinji near the border of Zambia conducted a few months ago:

The men listened attentively with one spirit, hearing the truth of God’s word, and said that the teaching is sound and needs to be taught. A Jot of men were living a life of compromise at home, leaving responsibilities to women and not caring for their families. This was an eye opener to their tragedy of negligence. Four men even repented of eating good meals in restaurants without their families and not providing the necessities of the home.

The pastors, bishops, teachers, prophets, and evangelists all agreed that they were making mistakes in their churches that have resulted in few men attending, and will now implement the MOV teachings in order to see change. 124 men came to the conference: 85 church leaders, 27 churched men with 7 backsliders, and 5 unchurched who gave their lives to Jesus Christ.

MOV-Kenya lead, Michael Orieny, sent:

Pastors who attended the MOV conference are working hard with discipleship groups. Right now, eight of them have 105 men meeting to discuss biblical manhood in different locations. There are 300 more men waiting for their chance to be taught.

Due to your response to the Bible campaign, we have been able to purchase Bibles in three languages for the 105 men currently in groups.

Ambrose Macauley, a pastor in Sierra Leone, wrote:

Greetings to you all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I’m one of the men you spent time training in Daru, Sierra Leone. I’m based in Freetown, where I have been training men since your conference. This photo shows the second training I have conducted now (August, 2018). Continue to pray for us, and God bless MOV.

Thank God for the men who are learning about what it means to be men of God and passing on their knowledge. Please pray that they would be filled with the knowledge of God’s truth!
