Two Ministries, Two Cities, Two Conferences: Too Amazing!

God’s kingdom grows as ministries work together.

Partnering with other ministries is a blessing to us and the men we serve.

In late May and early June 2024, we partnered with Ministry Builders, Inc. to hold two 3-day men’s conferences in Tuxtla, Chiapas and Tuxtepec, Oaxaca, Mexico.

Ministry Builders already was active in these locations and wanted to enhance their outreach to men. They chose to partner with Men of Valor International, inviting us to present our men’s conference in a joint project.

We welcomed 137 men from 20 churches at the first conference in Tuxtla and another 120 men at the second conference in Tuxtepec. Here is the report from Tuxtepec:

MOV teacher Peter taught the first session, “Man of Valor,” based on Judges 6:12, where Gideon learns that he is a mighty man of valor because God is with him. Those of us who have put our faith in Christ are mighty men of valor for the same reason.

MOV teacher John led the second session, “Why Men.” The men got the message, and they shared their thoughts in the breakout groups. Peter finished the first day with session three: “A Man of Valor is a Man of the Word,” and then we had a fellowship time.

On the second day John taught “The Five Roles of a Husband of Valor,” discussing how men of valor are to be servant leaders. He invited a man up and washed his feet to symbolically show what a Husband of Valor is to be for his wife. The demonstration clearly made an impact on the men!

On the third and last day of the conference, Peter spoke about men needing to be connected in strong friendships to face the battles of life together. The message is called “Men of Valor Stand Together.” Afterwards, he invited the men who were committing to leading a men’s discipleship group to come forward. The pastors then commissioned the leaders-to-be, praying over them. Peter then invited the rest of the men to come up and commit to joining a group. 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱!

John closed the conference by teaching the MOV sessions, “Why Men Don’t Go to Church” and “The Three Things Every Man Wants.” The men were very receptive to the teaching, and in their breakout groups came up with ideas on how to reach men and serve in their churches and community.

Christian organizations working together accomplish more for God’s Kingdom than we do working alone. If your organization would be interested in having Men of Valor International present either our full three-day Conference or an abbreviated 5.5 hour Summit, contact us today. We’re planning conferences in the next 12 months both in the United States and in 10 other countries, to be led by our international teams of experienced MOV teachers. Let’s add yours to the list!
