“…all that we have accomplished You have done for us.” (Isaiah 26:12)
Why do you do what you do? How do you decide what to do?
Here at Men of Valor International, we just celebrated our 20th anniversary! During our 2025 Vision Dinner in April, I spoke on why we do what we do:
- To preach the gospel. Our conferences bring together church leaders and seekers alike. Every gathering proclaims the gospel, but the true impact unfolds in discipleship groups that originate at the conference and continue on. Just this morning, I received the news that 541 men came to Christ last year through these groups in Chitipa, Malawi. When men experience the strength of godly brotherhood, they invite others—spreading Christ’s message through transformed lives.
- To bring light to a dark world. Men of Valor ignites hope and a vision for a stronger future. As saved men of God, they are called and equipped to lead—with strength, holiness, humility, and prayer. Their transformation becomes a beacon, illuminating their families and communities. Timothy in Liberia told us:
“God said to me that I should not support ungodly things and that my priority is to live by God’s Word. I learned I should seek God’s business in my daily life and take full responsibility for my obligations. I must serve as protector spiritually and physically for my household.”
- To serve. When we reach men, we serve communities because they are transformed. Marriages strengthen, children grow up with fathers, and prisons hold fewer men. The need for crisis intervention fades as men embrace godly leadership. Churches see men pursuing righteousness—and the world changes for the better.
- To bring joy. Men leave our conferences transformed. They testify that joy fills their lives, marriages, families, and churches as they put their learning into action. Knowing their purpose, they embrace their roles, set new goals, and commit to building a lasting godly legacy. Steve in Malawi told us:
“These lessons have helped my family to be transformed spiritually up to the point that now we do love each other, and my wife and I go to church together. I used to hit my wife, but after I heard the truth that a husband of valor must protect his wife, I was challenged, and now my family is so happy.”
Like Christ, we are committed to fulfilling the will of the Father. We do it by reaching men.

You’ve heard us say it time and again because we’ve seen it proven over and over: when you reach men for Christ and equip them to live godly lives, you transform their families, churches, and communities. Scripture confirms this truth—just look at Cornelius (Acts 10), the Philippian jailer (Acts 16), and many others.
During our Vision Dinner, we had many great video testimonies from around the world about Men of Valor’s impact on men’s lives and their families.
Greg Knight from West Virginia spoke of the impact that MOV teachings continue to have in his area. They’ve given out over 100 Living as a Man of Valor books, and the discipleship groups that started at the MOV Summit last fall have grown and multiplied!
These accounts are important and exciting. But we’re not done!
Would you join us to do what we do?
2025 has already been full of international travel. In January, we led an MOV Summit in Europe, and met with pastors, missionaries, and seminary and Bible school students in the Netherlands, Montenegro, Moldova, and Slovakia.
